When the first smokeless cigarettes came out in the 1980′s they were pretty sad. I mean I love an e-cigarette and all but the first one was so bad it had to be taken off the market. It tasted like charcoal! People thought e-cigarettes would never catch on, but they were wrong.

Now of course smokeless cigarette has improved dramatically. There are no longer taste issues. Technology has gotten better and the nicotine solution can be heated and misted efficiently with no aftertaste. This means that taking a hit off an electric cigarette tastes as good as a real cigarette. They are available in menthol, and there are different kinds that mimic leading brands of cigarettes so you can get the exact taste you’re used to. Plus if you are adventurous there are many other flavors that normal cigarettes don’t come in: berry, orange, rum, you name it.

They are also more convenient these days. An electric cigarette has to have a battery, a cartridge of solution, and something to “atomize” or mist the solution. In the past these components were expensive and hard to find. Now most brands use common components, and the cost has come way down. In fact the cost to make them is so cheap that you can literally buy disposable ones.

If you are a smoker, you should really consider making the switch to e-cigarettes. It is a great way to get your smoke break in without risking all the diseases and issues of a traditional cigarette. Give it a try!
